#Week 1A Template Blog

I choose this template because it has interesting background with trees and little bit of light coming out, giving definition to the page. Any written content in white font would really make the content more interesting to read. Also I liked the layout of tabs to left side of the page along with the picture that can be added later as needed for the class. This blogs focus will be towards completing class activities for now.

    I agree- definitely a fan of the simple layout so that the focus of your page can be the content. Best of luck on your social media journey. I find that using visual enhancements oftentimes leads to more engagement. As your blog displays, even subtle visual enhancements can make something pop.

    You have great taste because I was considering this background image too! Something about trees and the slight foggy setting that is so calming.
    You should change the background color to something other than gray, it takes away from the mystery of the trees.

      Thank you for the feedback on background color, it's good idea. I'm not really familiar with this whole blog thing, will have to figure out how to change it.

Two websites I choose to comment on that could have problems for visitors are www.jamilin.com and www.gatesnfences.com . First thing that I noticed on opening these websites were the style, in a nutshell it is a brochure style, where there is a lot of static content and heavy description of the products or services offered by respective businesses. It made me feel like, I need to get out of these websites right away. There is no stickiness to them. Three potential problematic areas would be:   No clear Concept and Contrast, Hierarchy and Ease of use. No clear concept and contrast : Upon close observation on both these web sites we notice there is no clear concept of what products/services they are offering. “Jamilin” website has two different menus one with different colors, which I believe are the services they offer. Week #2A Social Media for Business or Personal use

Social media is a communication medium through which people can share, discuss, modify content that is generated by other users and individual self. There are many different social media tools, some of which work better on personal level and others more towards businesses interested in promoting their company, products, brands, events and any other information pertaining to business development. Social media platforms that are geared towards personal use can be Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+. People tend to use Facebook mostly to communicate with friends and relatives who share same interests and tastes. Instagram is created to share and show power of pictures.
