Week #8 Post 2 Get Visual

Visual media has become integral part of promoting business, be it for educational or commercial purposes. People do not want to read bunch of text  rather want to see images which is more stimulating and fast to understand. Even though there are some businesses where visuals are not that relevant, I feel at least few visuals can market the company better and make it interesting. Examples of some businesses that are like ours, who are using visuals to promote their brands effectively and interestingly are Numi Tea, Full Leaf Tea Co., English Tea Shop, Green Hill Tea. As we research their websites and Facebook pages as well as Instagram posts, their priority seems to be that of putting their products for consumers to see, what they are offering like product categories and prices. These businesses are making videos or posting images on different ways their products can be used, for example Numi Organic Tea has images of their ceremonial matcha tea made into popsicles. They are also promoting sustainability practices implemented as part of their commitment for environmental good. Numi Organic Tea has 149,125 followers, English Tea Shop with 78,159, Full Leaf Tea Co with 6,267, Green Hill Tea had least amount of follower with just 826. As for posts some of these businesses are very committed to posting everyday while others are involved in weekly or monthly basis. Proportionality of likes to followers are almost the same with slight variations in more number of followers than likes. For every post made on Facebook these businesses received about 1 to 4 comments, most of it liking either picture or video and how great their products or customer service is.

I would implement all the ways they are currently using to promote their business, it seems to work very well. In addition, I would try to implement more nature to my images and videos. Upon observation postings are mainly using particular place to make images like placing cup of tea on a table with some props, I want to place that cup of tea in natural setting as background with hills and some earthly elements, and always give credit to people who are behind scenes who are at the heart of this whole process by including some pictures or videos of people who pluck leaves, distributors and maybe process involving transportation or any similar nuances. It not only makes it interesting and keeps off the boredom of looking at same things but in a way showing importance of everyone involved in entire process.
