Week#7 Post1



Businesses I like as my page are my competitors such as Green Hill Tea, Full Leaf Tea Company, I choose them so that I can gauge the variety of products they are offering as well as services. Choose Yoga Six 4S Ranch because I’m a regular participant in this studio and hope that some of my acquaintances could be future customers and, I feel this is a good venue to promote my business. Tea Council and International Tea Masters Association offers some valuable information for my business. When people visit Facebook pages of these two places to gather information perhaps discover my business products and services. Tea Gallerie and SD Boba Tea-San Diego are very good local resources to keep tab on, be it for selling my business products or for prospective customer who are interested in our products.

Week #4 Post 1

Two websites I choose to comment on that could have problems for visitors are www.jamilin.com and www.gatesnfences.com . First thing that I noticed on opening these websites were the style, in a nutshell it is a brochure style, where there is a lot of static content and heavy description of the products or services offered by respective businesses. It made me feel like, I need to get out of these websites right away. There is no stickiness to them. Three potential problematic areas would be:   No clear Concept and Contrast, Hierarchy and Ease of use. No clear concept and contrast : Upon close observation on both these web sites we notice there is no clear concept of what products/services they are offering. “Jamilin” website has two different menus one with different colors, which I believe are the services they offer. However, they have another menu right underneath that has drop down menus for services again. This is total confusion for a visitor who must spend lot of time

Week #2A Social Media for Business or Personal use

Social media is a communication medium through which people can share, discuss, modify content that is generated by other users and individual self. There are many different social media tools, some of which work better on personal level and others more towards businesses interested in promoting their company, products, brands, events and any other information pertaining to business development. Social media platforms that are geared towards personal use can be Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+. People tend to use Facebook mostly to communicate with friends and relatives who share same interests and tastes. Instagram is created to share and show power of pictures. It is made for smartphones and is easily accessible by people who do not have time to sit at a computer to communicate, it is on the go, where people can convey their likes with one click.   Pinterest is like Instagram only difference between these two are being able to pin category a user is interested
