Week #10 Post 2


Posts are organized into categories to help people browse content through topic. To stay organized on my blog would contain categories such as; About Tea - I would blog about different kinds of teas, regions of world that produce them, climate conditions that makes better tea leaves and environmental facts. Next category would be Recipes - contains various beverage and cocktail preparation recipes; Health and well-being – Focuses on benefits of tea on human body, stress relieving and mood boosting topics. Community- This is a great way for people to check out local events happening in the neighborhood or in the county, like new store openings, tea related events and many other community events. Product reviews - This section of the blog helps others who are in the market trying to buy quality tea products available out there. Last but not the least, Travel - This is where people can read about how tea is consumed in various parts of the world, some statistics about which countries consume the most and which ones are least, interesting facts about the countries and pictures from those regions.

 These various categories will help business grow because people are gaining knowledge by reading these blogs posts and understanding how beneficial this product is for mind body and soul and tend to reach the website to buy the product.

Any written content in white font would really make the content more interesting to read. Week #4 Post 1

Two websites I choose to comment on that could have problems for visitors are www.jamilin.com and www.gatesnfences.com . First thing that I noticed on opening these websites were the style, in a nutshell it is a brochure style, where there is a lot of static content and heavy description of the products or services offered by respective businesses. It made me feel like, I need to get out of these websites right away. There is no stickiness to them. Three potential problematic areas would be:   No clear Concept and Contrast, Hierarchy and Ease of use. No clear concept and contrast : Upon close observation on both these web sites we notice there is no clear concept of what products/services they are offering. “Jamilin” website has two different menus one with different colors, which I believe are the services they offer. However, they have another menu right underneath that has drop down menus for services again. This is total confusion for a visitor who must spend lot of time

Week #2A Social Media for Business or Personal use

Social media is a communication medium through which people can share, discuss, modify content that is generated by other users and individual self. There are many different social media tools, some of which work better on personal level and others more towards businesses interested in promoting their company, products, brands, events and any other information pertaining to business development. Social media platforms that are geared towards personal use can be Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+. People tend to use Facebook mostly to communicate with friends and relatives who share same interests and tastes. Instagram is created to share and show power of pictures. It is made for smartphones and is easily accessible by people who do not have time to sit at a computer to communicate, it is on the go, where people can convey their likes with one click.   Pinterest is like Instagram only difference between these two are being able to pin category a user is interested
