Google analytics features that will benefit our business are
Page views, Engagement and conversations. Page views are important because they
are bringing in new visitors which means it is creating brand awareness through
our website and SEO-Search Engine Optimization or through other websites that
have higher authority or links form Facebook, Twitter and other social media
networks. Page view metrics are important because we can gather statistics
about visitors who are just viewing one page and leaving, or they leave because
they did not find what they came in for, duration of stay on the page, number
of times page has been viewed, number of new visitors and countries they are
visiting from. These metrics are important for us to make tweaks to places
where changes are needed to increase more page views.
We use Engagement feature to fulfill the purpose of selling
our products. If our blog or website is not engaging we are not achieving the
goals we set as E-Commerce business, implication of which is no brand awareness
or customers to make purchases in other words no sales. Engagement shows what
pages visitors are interested in such as recipes, blogs and any free offerings through
promotion. It is to measure if they are visiting all pages or certain pages or
if they are being directed through a link from other websites.
Conversations feature can also be addressed as traffic (please
address if I am wrong) metrics is important for us to measure how many people
are using Chat to know our products or talk about it on social media platforms or
being directed through them to our website or through E-mail marketing platform.
